Be realistic when setting personal goals. Think about where you want to be in a year from now, then break it up with monthly goals. Ask a spouse or mentor to hold you accountable to the list, but ultimately, bring it before God first and seek His guidance in the year long journey.
Pray that God puts a new song in your heart. Pray that God guides you to new experiences that reveal His truth in your relationships, opportunities and faith journey. Even if you are struggling with a broken heart, a confession just exposed or marriage that seems impossible to fix, pray that God will do BIG things this year!
Half full; half empty. Either way, it's a new beginning. Grab an empty jar and fill it over the course of the year with all the daily blessings God gives you. Conversations, coffee dates with friends, a song on the radio that speaks directly to you, a stunning sunset or a day without tears. Write them down. Two blessings a day; it will change the focus from half empty and have your heart full by the year's end.
Happy New Year,
